ABOUT
Resolve Engineering strives to provide clarity to clients about the structural integrity of their homes to ensure that homeowners are safe and happy in their homes. We work to provide clients with the knowledge they need to understand their homes and empower them to make decisions that are best for them, their finances, and their home.
My name is Blake Shadid and I have been working as a structural engineer for over 10 years with a wide variety of experience. I spent the first 7 years of my career at a large global engineering firm working on anything from electrical substations to oil and gas terminals to food manufacturing plants. I was fortunate to gain a great deal of knowledge due to the complexity of the design for these structures and foundations. For the past 4 years, I have been solely focused on residential structural engineering and have performed thousands of home inspections and developed plans for new homes, remodels, home additions, covered decks, load-bearing wall removal, retaining walls, and so much more.
I created Resolve Engineering because I have seen the amount of frustration that homeowners and realtors go through by receiving separate bids from contractors that have contradicting opinions. I want to provide clarity to clients as to what is actually going on in their home, and what they need to do to solve the problem. Repairs to homes are not always black and white, and multiple solutions can oftentimes resolve the same issue.
As the founder of Resolve Engineering, my top priorities are responsiveness, consistency, and accuracy. If you call, I will answer and if you email, I will respond. Most importantly, if you schedule with Resolve Engineering, I will be the person that comes to inspect your home. I am a licensed Professional Engineer and will always work to give you transparency and reliable information.
